Navigation Software Engineer - Dayton, OH Area

Job Description
This position is involved in all engineering and software development life cycle activities with limited supervision and requires the ability to implement concepts defined by the principal engineers. The successful engineer will collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering team and demonstrate an ability to rapidly learn complex software architecture and GNSS user equipment components.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software, aerospace, electrical or mechanical engineering

Master's degree preferred

Minimum 2 years software development professional experience with aerospace or robotics / autonomous system applications

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Due to security requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

The candidate must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance
In addition to the basic qualifications listed, the ideal candidate will bring experience from the following specific systems and engineering tools:
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with C/C++ and Python programming
-
Experience with GPS/GNSS technology, inertial navigation systems, and estimation techniques

Experience with real-time optimized computer vision libraries, tools, and hardware such as OpenCV and PyTorch framework

Experience with Git or equivalent software version control system

Experience in embedded real-time software development environments

Familiarity with front-end / web stack frameworks
-
Desire to work in the field of computer vision, avionics and navigation algorithms, robotics, and experience troubleshooting electronics and hardware systems

Desire to work with geospatial software technologies such as GDAL and postGIS
